Going Coastal

Coastal Commons

A 12-week themed summer reading experience for literary wanderers, inspired by the beach, water, and the imaginative spirit. A classic book can be both enriching and entertaining, especially when paired with a summer breeze, ocean waves, music and a refreshing libation.

This list blends intellect, imagination, water, and wonder. Think of it as a slow literary swim—one week at a time.

Reflection Prompts:

– What image or line from the book stayed with you?

– How did the music or drink change your reading experience?

– Did this story make you see something differently–yourself, the sea, time, memory?

– Sketch a scene, emotion, or metaphor from the reading.
