Going Coastal’s Pumpout Maps have been a beacon of environmental responsibility, guiding boaters through the pristine waters of New York State for over ten years. With a reach extending to more than 25,000 resident boaters and countless transient cruisers annually, these iconic maps have played a crucial role in preventing pollution and ensuring the longevity of our waterways.
Safeguarding Our Waters, One Boat at a Time
Our regional pumpout maps cover key water bodies including the iconic New York Harbor, the majestic Hudson River, the picturesque Long Island waters, and the historic Erie Canal and Finger Lakes. By delivering essential information about marine sanitation regulations, pumpout station locations, and No Discharge Zones, these maps empower boaters with the knowledge they need to minimize their environmental footprint to responsibly dispose of untreated and treated sewage from their vessel’s holding tank. Each map showcases an extensive network of pumpout stations, complete with GPS coordinates and contact details for every site.

The heart of our Pumpout Map project was the distribution of 250,000 maps across New York State Waterways. This monumental achievement not only showcased our commitment to clean water but also proved the collective power of informed boaters. As a result, our waterways have remained free from harmful waste discharge, fostering a healthier ecosystem for both marine life and humans alike.With the advancement of technology, we’ve made accessing vital information even easier. Our Pumpout Map is now available in a digital format.
